Love conquers all...

Medieval art at the Met, supposedly Cupid atop a raging beast

'cept the plague! Thursday caught me with the same fricasseeing fever. My brains were getting watery. Then I got an email from work! They found teachers to take over my classes and I won't be back to work for another week, lest I get fired when I call in on Monday. Sigh. A week of freedom! The irony of it all. Should I thank the flu, or forsake it further?

Today I'm feeling:

the languishing effects of death's choke hold

But, like a greased pig, I'm hard to kill. It's a gift and a curse. What can I say? What can you say?!

Ceci n'est pas une "blog"

The False Mirror by René Magritte: painting on exhibition at the MoMA

You know the saying about aiming for the moon and not worrying about missing because you'll still be among the stars? Ever wondered what would happen if you actually hit the moon? I mean, who wants to be on the moon?

I'm not trying to be perverse here. I'm just saying. Sometimes you crave something, then when you get your mitts on it, it turns out to not be all that hot.

I've also heard that life without love is just surviving.

Today I'm Feeling:

Horny

Don't have much to say? Then say little. Comment!

By the time you read this, I'd have already jumped!

From the scaffolding outside the Puma store at Union Square, NYC.

Ladies and gents, the following has nothing to do with the preceding:

"Love many, trust few, and always paddle your own canoe."
Quoted from Travels in a Thin Country by Sara Wheeler.

Today I'm Feeling:

Bitter

Feel free to comment, it keeps me from being lonely.
